The Director of Materials Management Services oversees the activities of two sectors under his governance.

Materials Management Services (MMS) is responsible for the University’s procurement activities. It negotiates and signs University contracts for goods and services. MMS procurement officers are authorized to issue formal calls for tenders, requests for proposals and requests for information.They can also handle purchase orders or negotiate contracts, according to the specific responsibilities assigned to them.

MMS procurement officers work in two sectors, Operations and Research, handling purchases of goods and services paid for through the operating budget or through research grants.

Please note that food services, coin-operated and amusement machines are supervised by the Director.

This also applies to all major contracts administered by the two sections.
